Learn the basics of ceramics this spring in a fun 12 week class for beginning students.  Adult students will learn in a supportive small class setting with instruction from our teaching artist, Mary Wuest.  Use the potter’s wheel to create beautiful, useful art and learn to decorate, glaze and fire your work using a variety of commercial glazes and techniques.  You’ll create several finished, glazed pieces.

Mary Wuest is a ceramic artist/educator who sees clay as a metaphor for life - an endlessly moldable, process-driven endeavor that never fails to surprise and delight. While she holds an MFA from The University of Texas at San Antonio, she is constantly reminded of how much more there is to know about working with clay.

All materials and tools will be available for purchase on your first day of class.  Firing service is included. We’re excited to offer this challenging and enriching class experience.
