In this exciting hands-on workshop you'll learn advanced throwing techniques and the secrets of working with breathtaking crystalline glazes. Bring your own bisque pots and apply crystalline glazes - we'll fire them and evaluate the results at the end of the workshop.
Andrew Krueger is a Wisconsin-based ceramic artist known for blending art and science, creating functional porcelain pottery with vibrant, complex crystalline glazes inspired by textiles, architecture and nature. He aims for pieces that are both simple in form and joyful in color. Andrew focuses on the interplay of form and surface, capturing dramatic yet clean lines with vivid experimental glazes on smooth porcelain.
