Redwood is an opaque, glossy, mottled, metallic red glaze that breaks brown over texture. This glaze needs to be fired to witness cone 6 for color development. If it is under fired it will turn out brown. Be careful, Redwood will run if applied to thickly.
This glaze comes dry and is made for dipping and pouring for cone 6.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
