Roadrunner Ceramics presents Intermediate Throwing Cone 10 Red
Date: Mar 15 - May 3, 2025
Take your skills to the next level this spring in a fun 8 week class for advancing students. Adult students will learn in a supportive small class setting with instruction from our teaching artist, Ron Wilson. Use the potter’s wheel to create beautiful, useful art and explore decoration, glazing and firing your work in a Cone 10 Reduction kiln. You’ll create one or more finished, glazed pieces.
Ron Wilson is the owner of Roadrunner Ceramics, and has been doing pottery for a decade. A native San Antonian, Ron has studied portrait sculpture at Southwest School of Art, with Alicia Ponzio and Phillipe Faraut. He’s photographed and sculpted animals in Zambia with Nick Mackman. He throws functional and decorative work, as well as sculpting realistic animal and human subjects. He enjoys the process of introducing newcomers to the clay experience.
All materials and tools will be available for purchase on your first day of class. Firing service is included. We’re excited to offer this challenging and enriching class experience.
