Take your skills to the next level in a fun 12 week class for intermediate students.  Adult students will learn in a supportive small class setting with instruction from our teaching artist, Randy Brodnax.  This class will include production of functional vessels, with a highlight on larger forms, surface treatments, and developing your own style.  Work will be fired to cone 5/6 in oxidation with a variety of beautiful commercial glazes.

Randy Brodnax a life-long potter and educator from Dallas, will entertain as he shares the secrets of glazing and reduction firing technique.  A Louisiana native who has retained much of the Cajun joie de vivre with which he was raised, Randy has spent a career building bridges among clay artists of all levels. He’ll help participants seek a refined focus, new direction, or simply camaraderie.

Your class fee includes glazes, stains and firing.  Clay and hand tools will be available for purchase.  You may bring and use your own tools, but clay must be purchased through Roadrunner to avoid kiln mishaps with unknown clay.  We are limiting enrollment to nine students to allow for social distancing, and ask students to mask.  This should be an exciting and informative class.
