Take your skills to the next level this fall in a fun 5 week class for advancing students.  Adult students will learn in a supportive small class setting with instruction from our teaching artist, Ron Wilson.  Use the potter’s wheel or hand build to create pieces that we'll use to explore exciting new glazing options for cone 6, including Coyote's oil spot, Amaco's snowflake crackle and radical crawls, Cosmos crystalline glazes and more.  You’ll create several finished pieces, suitable for Christmas gifting.

Ron Wilson is the owner of Roadrunner Ceramics, and has been doing pottery for nearly 20 years.  A native San Antonian, Ron has studied portrait sculpture at Southwest School of Art, and with Alicia Ponzio and Phillipe Faraut.  He’s photographed and sculpted animals in Zambia with Nick Mackman.  He throws functional and decorative work, as well as sculpting realistic animal and human subjects.  He enjoys the process of introducing newcomers to the clay experience.

Some core materials are provided, and additional materials and tools will be available for purchase.
